Rules |
The Dura rules must be followed at all times and generally apply to all official Dura platforms and media channels including but not limited to the game, discord, facebook & whatsapp.
The Discretion of a Gamemaster can override any rule or the details of that rule. Therefore we advise: if you think it could be construed as cheating -- to assume it is until it is confirmed it's not by a Gamemaster. At any time in any case Gamemasters have full autonomy to assess documented rule violations and apply Punishments as they see fit, also known as Gamemaster Discretion.
Dura acknowledges that it is impossible to cover every possible case of potential rule violation with a specific rule. For this reason, the "Gamemaster License" applies.
Repeated offenses of the same violation resulting in banishment can lead to account deletion.
If you disagree with a finding and would like to appeal, please feel free to open a support-ticket in the 'general-reports' channel in Dura's Discord or email us with details of the situation so that your case may be reviewed.
Gamemaster License
It is impossible that rules cover all qualities of a spirit of fair play. At the same time some instances of unfair play which the rules do not cover in writing are so flagrant that it is apparent such should not have been done and therefore punishment may be dealt out even for an unwritten rule. An example of this could be a player cloning items by exploiting an in-game bug, a player endeavoring to alter his character's stats by 'hacking' our game-server, or creating many in-game accounts to continually and concealingly harass a player in game. For these special situations a Gamemaster is given full license to judge a new or nuanced situation as he determines to be in the spirit of fair and constructive play.
You may not manipulate the official client program in any way or use any additional software to play the game, including but not limited to "Bots", "Macros" and "Taskers".
You will be checked by Gamemaster's frequently to ensure that you are not breaking this rule, if you are unable to respond to messages on your screen you will be identified as a cheater and handled accordingly. Knowing this, it is your responsibility to be aware that you will be checked and therefore not put yourself in a position where you are completing game-actions without paying sufficient attention to the game.
It is not acceptable for somebody unable to communicate with or follow simple in-game instructions from a Gamemaster to be playing a character at any time. Furthermore, it is your responsibility as a player to be aware that a Gamemaster may check you for cheating at any time using a variety of tactics that may not include text.
Note:
- Computer Programs which allow you to switch, duplicate, or bind keys -or mouse buttons- are allowed
- Computer Programs which allow you to optimize your internet connection are allowed
You are only allowed to have one character online per person.

It is illegal to offer, put to market, trade, or sell a Dura Account.
Doing so gives unfair advantage to those who buy the account as Dura becomes Pay 2 Win.
It also cultivates unfair gameplay as it nullifies others time they had to put into their own progression.

Sharing is the use of a given account by anyone but the original creator.
It is against the rules to offer anything of currency or value that exists outside the game of Dura to manipulate something or influence action within the game of Dura.
Example a) It would violate Rule 9.6 to offer let alone pay $50.00 to another person to have X-player killed within the game of Dura.
Example b) It would violate Rule 9.6 to offer let alone pay $50.00 to another person to provide information that would be material evidence/information for a Rule-Violation resulting in a punishment, i.e. banishment.
Reporting Process & Policy |
If you would like to report a player for cheating we encourage you to do so. All reports of cheating are 100% confidential and only Gamemasters and above from Dura's staff will be aware of the report and the details contained within it; the report is made anonymously, no one except Gamemasters will even know you made one.
When reporting a player for cheating there are three mediums at which you can do it:
1.) Dura Discord in the 'general-reports' channel;
2.) Dura official contact email: [email protected]
3.) "Report Violations" function in game (ctrl+r)
Please be aware that your report will be processed in a timely manner. For a player to actually be found in violation of a given rule it must be first investigated by Dura Staff. Through that investigation if it is determined to be conclusive that a given player is in violation of a rule then and only then will that player be punished accordingly per the rules. This can take time as we treat no account termination as casual, we do not punish unless we are unhesitatingly confirmed in such violation, and lastly there are many reports and cases on a daily basis.
Be aware of Rule 7a.) False Information: Intentionally submitting false information to Dura Staff members. Punishment: 10 Day Banishment to Permanent Deletion of all known accounts depending on severity.
Submitting a report that you think is a genuine violation but our decision determines it is not conclusively does not mean you submitted false information. It simply means you were mistaken or did not have conclusive evidence.
Note:
At no time does reporting a rule-violation allow for improper behavior. When opening a report to Dura Staff the following is expected. No cursing, insulting, threatening, ultimatums, or general disrespect. Any of these actions constitute a discontinuance of response and discourse form Dura's Staff on your report.
